Premier Rhoda Sikilabu encourage Buala Police Officers during a closing ceremony of two weeks POM training in Isabel Province

Premier of the Isabel Province, Honourable Rhoda Sikilabu in her remarks during the closing ceremony of Public Order Management (POM) training have encouraged Buala Police Officers to use the new skills, attitude and confidence gained during the training to build more credibility and integrity.

Premier Sikilabu said your commitment to the training program is much appreciated. Congratulate you for the new skills and knowledge you gain after the two weeks of intensive training.

She said as you have experienced during this training program, your commitment, dedication and discipline leads to success and greater achievements and opens new doors to new opportunities.

The training conducted by China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) in Buala has attracted wide attention. The two-week training has achieved fruitful results. Especially today's demonstration. The whole drill was carried out in the rainstorm and the police conquered the audience with excellent skills which fully demonstrated the training results of two weeks, said Premier Sikilabu.

Honourable Premier Sikilabu said the confidence and professionalism in our own police force we believe police can fully protect our children, our mothers, fathers, and grandparents.

Premier Sikilabu said to the CPLT for the assistance and generosity for training our local police officers and providing martial art exercise to our children. This fully reflects the friendship of the Chinese people and Chinese police. Hope that we can broaden the areas of cooperation and achieve more fruitful results.

An outstanding Course Participant during the two weeks POM training, Sergeant (Sgt) Stephen Maneleba said this training is important to RSIPF in Isabel and it has purposely done to develop us to be one of the best police forces in the region and make Isabel and Solomon Islands as a whole truly safe, prosperous and happy isles.

Sgt Maneleba said the instructors from CPLT, who specialized in police techniques and tactics training. I assure you that after the POM training our techniques and tactics have improved a lot.

Officer Maneleba also thanked the Premier for her support and encouragement and assured people of Isabel province that they will continuously cooperate with the Chinese Police and keep on improving the police techniques and tactics. This is essential and necessary to effectively deal with disorders issues that may arise in our province and Solomon Islands.

The POM training program was officially closed on 22 October 2022 at Buala Police Station with a public disorder demonstration.
