The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have presented certificates of appreciation and police international cooperation medals to 9 China Police Liaison Team (CPLT)members who will be leaving the country this weekend.

The second batch of CPLT arrived in the Solomon Islands on 7th August 2022 and their mission has ended while the third batch of CPLT is already in the country to replace those outgoing Chinese Police Officers to continue with their six months mission.

Commissioner of Police Mr. Mostyn Mangau says, “I am happy with the great support you have been doing during your deployment to assist the RSIPF in capacity and capability development.”

Mr. Mangau says, “Your mission has ended but it does not stop you from visiting Solomon Island during your holiday. Make Solomon Island become your second home and feel free to visit us.”

He says, “China and Solomon Islands are two different states but we work for one common goal which is to protect our people, land and sea resources.”

Team Leader (TL), Commissioner Zhang Guangbao says, “CPLT had a close cooperation with the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services (MPNSCS) and the RSIPF since the first day coming here. The team has provided police technical and tactical training, implemented police assisting projects, handed over police tactical equipment and transportation to RSIPF.”

TL Zhang says, “With the strong support from CPLT, the RSIPF capability and capacity building has been significantly strengthened.”
He says, “A lot has been achieved so far after the police cooperation MOU was signed. The Ministry of Public Security of China will deepen police cooperation with MPNSCS and RSIPF and will support RSIPF to become the best police force in the region.”
