RSIPF complete PG 2023 security planning training conducted by CPLT in Honiara
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Emergency Management and Special Event Planning Department (NEMSEP) have completed Pacific Games (PG23) Security Planning Workshop conducted by China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) at Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara recently.
Acting Director, NEMSEP Department Inspector Harry Poutz Vanosi says, “I appreciate the training offered by the CPLT with Beijing Summer and Winter Olympics experiences. This workshop is supportive for the whole team to get prepared for the upcoming PG23 and other national operations.”
Inspector Vanosi says, “The RSIPF NEMSEP is responsible for organizing national operations. The one-month RSIPF officers training completed in China in 2022 is impressive and useful including large-scale event planning and control administration.
The workshop on PG23 security planning offered by CPLT is more targeted and localized according to the situation here in Honiara.”
Associate Professor, PhD JIA Zhanyun of CPLT says, “This workshop focused mainly on sharing Beijing Olympics experiences, briefing of the PG23 security risk analysis, security planning and security operation, and exchanging ideas and experiences in preparation towards the PG23 which soon will be hosted later this year in the Solomon Islands.
