Provincial Police Commanders and departmental directors of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force throughout the country will gather at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara for their conference, 9 – 12 October 2017.
“This week long conference is to review the RSIPF’s Annual Business Plan 2017 and the Work Action Plan for this year. Also during this conference the PPCs and Directors will discuss and develop the 2018 Annual Business Plan,” says Ian Bara, RSIPF’s Director of Strategy, Planning and Policy.
Mr Bara adds: “There will also be presentations on Leadership, Governance Policy and Ministerial by the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services as well as other policies being currently implemented by the RSIPF.”
“For this Conference, we have also invited a Guest Speaker, Dr Dannielle Watson from the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji to speak on the training that has been offered by the University to police officers from Solomon Islands and other Pacific countries in the areas of management and strategic policy development,” says Mr Bara.
Minister of Police, National Security and Correctional Services, Hon. Moses Garu is expected to open the PPCs and Directors’ Conference on Monday 9 October.
