Police arrest a 60-year-old father for raping her daughter

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki have arrested a 60-year-old father for raping her 9-year-old daughter in Auki on 1 August 2023.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province Superintendent Leslie Kili says, “The rape incident has happened on 27 July 2023 front of a shop in Auki town at around 10pm.”

PPC Kili says, “The suspect was charged for rape and he appear before the Auki Magistrates’ Court this morning (3 August 2023) and released on strict bail condition.

Supervising PPC Mr Kili says, “The court has released the suspect due to his health condition and he will appear before the court after 14 days while investigation continues on into the rape incident.”
