Police conduct raid recently in Honiara

Liquor Squad Unit (LSU) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Honiara City have successfully conducted several raids in the capital of Honiara recently.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City Chief Superintendent Jimson Robo says, “Police have raided some bottle shops in East, West and Central Honiara.”

PPC Robo says, “Result of the raid, liquors and homebrews being confiscate and, suspects were arrested while others escaped.”

Chief Superintendent Robo says, “Some bottle shops are strongly warned to always comply with their license conditions.”

PPC Robo says,” As we are approaching the big event ahead of us, our officers will continue to conduct raids to hotspot locations and will surely revisit visited locations based on information received from communities.”

PPC acknowledged communities for information supplied to police in making this raid done and to his officers at the liquor squad unit and then CRU team for the successful work done.

Suspects were charged and will appear in court on a later date. The raiding team consists of LSU and CRU along with the supporting team from National Traffic Department, Police Response Team (PRT) and The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP).
