Police in Makira-Ulawa Province continue implementing Crime Prevention Strategy

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Kirakira Police Station continued with the Crime Prevention Strategy throughout Makira-Ulawa Province.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Makira-Ulawa Province, Superintendent Peter Sitai says, “Our team has revisited communities (specifically Kokana in Central Bauro) that have already established By-laws in hopes to assist and strengthened whatever challenges which community has encountered.”

“We have reminded them of the importance of teamwork along with RSIPF and the advantage of it. A few topics covered includes the disadvantage of alcohol, kwaso and marijuana abuse and the Family Protection Act,” says PPC Sitai.

With the positive feedback from community leaders at Kokana community, we encourage communities who have faced challenges to come forward with their request for us to conduct another visit. We are more than pleased to help find solutions that will benefit both the community and RSIPF.
