Tulagi police charge a 15-years-old male person for unlawful wounding in Central Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force at Tulagi Police Station have charged a 15-years-old male person for unlawful wounding at Sisili village, Sunfly, big Ngella.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai says, “Suspect were charged for unlawful wounding contrary to section 299 of the Penal Code.”

Superintendent Soakai says, “According to the investigations it was alleged that on 19 October 2023, the suspect got hold of a bush knife and struck the left side face of a 16-years-old female, which caused an injury.”

PPC Soakai says, “The pair were arguing over a basket that was said to be stolen by the 15-years-old suspect.”
The suspect is the last sibling of the victim’s mother, said Mr. Soakai.

The 15-years-old suspect was bailed and will appear before Tulagi Magistrate Court circuit on a later date.
