Deputy Commissioner (DC) National Security and Operation Support (NSOS) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), Mr. Ian Vaevaso paid a courtesy visit to police officers stationed at Gizo, Ringi, Noro, and Munda Police stations and posts during his Western Province tour last week.

The aim of the visit is to encourage officers to continue performing their duties as expected by the communities surrounding them to continue to uphold law and order.

DC Vaevaso commend the dedication and professionalism shown by the officers manning these police stations and posts. That despite facing challenges whilst carrying out their duties, the officers always ensure they are smart in their uniforms and work which shows their commitment in serving their communities with pride and integrity.

Mr. Vaevaso urged the officers to continue to work closely with the communities to ensure a peaceful electoral process is carried out during the joint elections on 17 April 2024.

He acknowledged the officers' efforts in maintaining law and order in their respective areas of duty and encouraged them to remain neutral and maintain peace and security as we are approaching the joint elections.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu says, “The visit made by DC Vaevaso boosted the morale of my officers here in Western Province as we are so fortunate to have him giving words of encouragements as we prepare for the joint elections on 17 April 2024.
