Fourth CPLT deployment presented with certificate of appreciation and international law enforcement cooperation medal

The fourth China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) deployed in the country for about eight months were presented with certificates of appreciation letters and international law enforcement cooperation medals at Rove police headquarters today 27 May 2024.

Eleven CPLT officers will be leaving the country sometime tomorrow (29 May 2024) and a new deployment team is already in the country to continue with their mission in supporting the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF).

The Commissioner of RSIPF Mr. Mostyn Mangau has acknowledged the good work the CPLT has been doing. You have achieved a lot during your deployment period. You reach all the provinces and train RSIPF officers.

Mr. Mangau says, “Training has been conducted across the RSIPF and your support in terms of assets to boost the capability of RSIPF is a huge achievement for the RSIPF.”

“Fourth CPLT deployment team you have left with a legacy which fifth CPLT will carry on from there to continue with. You have built RSIPF capability to another level,” Commissioner Mangau said.

He said, “For the incoming new CPLT officers, most welcome to the happy isles. It will be challenging at times but we work together from where the fourth CPLT deployment left us and move on.

The police chief said, “Share our kind regards to your family and friends back in China and feel free to come back any time you wish during your holiday.”

CPLT Commissioner Zhao Jinyong says, “Thank you Commissioner Mostyn Mangau and the RSIPF for your continued support. The fourth deployment team has demonstrated spirits of initiative, solidarity, and dedication during their mission.”

Commissioner Zhao says, “The legacy they left behind will be passed on by the fifth deployment team who will continue to build on the work of the previous teams and dedicate themselves to promoting policing cooperation.”
