RSIPF organize a sendoff service to farewell late Superintendent Simao in Honiara
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have organised a send-off service to pay respect to late police Superintendent Leslie Simao at the Saint Barnabas Cathedral, in Honiara on 23 July 2024.
RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau said, “The sad news of the passing away of late superintendent Simao is really hard news for us RSIPF organization, family members, relatives and friends.”
Commissioner Mangau said, “I am lost for words to describe the sadness that all of us have experienced from the news of the passing away of one of our leaders.”
Mr. Mangau said, “Late Simao passed away when he was the Supervising Director at the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the RSIPF. He is a well-disciplined leader, led by example, who has become a role model for most officers who have worked under his supervision.”
Commissioner Mangau assured the relatives and friends of late Simao that the RSIPF will continue to remember the legacy he has left behind. His positive contributions to the RSIPF and his good leadership in the field of policing is exceptional and we salute him for that.
“He had served the RSIPF, the Government and people of Solomon Islands for 30 years.
During his career with the RSIPF, he had made significant contributions to frontline Policing and Crime Investigation operational duties by demonstrating integrity and professionalism in the maintenance of Law and Order ensuring a peaceful Solomon Islands for all,” says Commissioner Mangau.
RSIPF saluted him for his service to the people of Solomon Islands.
The body of late Simao air lifted on a flight to Nusatupe and transported to Rarumana where his body will be laid to rest.
