Police arrest five suspect for break-in in Isabel Province
Police in Buala have arrested and charged five suspects for house break-in at Buala village last week.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Isabel Province Inspector, Harry Vanosi says, “The house owner was away to attend his mother’s funeral in another village when the suspects broke into his canteen and took a sum of $9,000.00 cash with goods worth of $2,000.00 plus.
Supervising PPC Vanosi says, “The suspects used a hammer to broke off the walling next to the counter and gain access into the canteen.”
PPC Vanosi says, “Upon apprehension of the suspects, the investigators recovered $6,200 cash and five sleeve cigarettes. Among the suspects was a juvenile.”
“Our young people please learn to respect our neighbours and I must remind you that police are here to deal with any unwanted action in our communities,” Inspector Vanosi said.
The suspects are released on bail and will appear before Buala Magistrates’ Court on the 12 August 2024
