Police conduct awareness talk at Guguha school in Isabel Province
The Community Policing Team at Buala conducted an awareness program at Guguha Community High School on 29 August 2024.
The National Community Policing coordinator for emerging issues Sergeant Tamaeri Cheong and New Zealand police advisors collaborated with Buala police to conducted an awareness program to more than four hundred plus students including teachers.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Isabel Province, Inspector Harry Vanosi says, “The main objective of the awareness was to engage students for positive learning and safety awareness.”
PPC says, “The topics discussed during the awareness session focused on enhancing students' positive learning attitudes and encouraging them to excel in their educational journey and future endeavours.”
Inspector Vanosi says, “The awareness team at the closing of the awareness program present soccer balls to the school. The students and teachers were impressed with the presentation and request to continue the program in the near future.”
“The awareness talk was very successful as it achieved the aims and objectives of the program. School principal Mr. Leonard Vehu was impressed with the visit and the awareness talk conducted by the police team,” says Mr. Vanosi.
