The Police Kukum Traffic Centre in Honiara and the Police Professional and Internal Investigations Unit (PSII) are investigating an accident involving a police vehicle in the King George VI school area on the evening of Friday 10 November 2017.
No one was injured during the accident.
Supervising Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), National Capital and Crime Prevention, Superintendent, Patricia Leta says, “The matter has been brought to my attention and I can confirm that the vehicle involved in the incident was allocated to police in Guadalcanal Province.”
“The accident is being investigated by officers of the Kukum Traffic Centre and at the same time the PSII,” says Ms Leta.
ACP Leta adds: “I undertake to inform the public of any outcome of the investigations both by the Kukum Traffic Centre and the PSII.”
