RSIPF arrest individuals for threatening
The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) has arrested seven individuals who allegedly use threats.
RSIPF Commissioner, Mostyn Mangau, confirmed these arrests came about after police responded to reports received from complainants being threatened by individuals with dangerous weapons.
Commissioner Mangau said out of the seven arrested are two females.
He said police has yet to establish whether these individuals’ resort to using threats is connected to attempted abduction incidences that causes public fear recently.
He said police will not tolerate anyone who allegedly involved in any form of criminal behaviours like threat.
“I want to assure our people that your police, the RSIPF, is working day and night to ensure your communities are safe.”
“I urged everyone to help report any suspicious activities that causes fear in your community to the police,” Commissioner Mangau said.
Currently, he said, the RSIPF’s ‘Operation Rumours 2024’ is continuing while investigation into the arrest of these seven suspects is ongoing.
