Drunk person damages store counter: police arrest
Tulagi police have arrested a drunk person for damaging a store counter at Salesapa village, small Ngella in Central Islands Province (CIP) on November 17, 2024.
RSIPF Commissioner Mr. Mostyn Mangau said the incident occurred on November 13, 2024, at around 10 a.m., where the suspect was drunk and shot at the front store that was attached to the victims dwelling house.
Mr. Mangau said the suspect used a half brick and shot with full force, causing damage to the front counter of the store.
“The motive behind the issue is that the suspect disagrees with the complainant regarding his payment, which is delayed,” said Mangau.
The suspect has been dealt with, and all his court documents have been prepared for his court appearance on a later date.
The police chief said accused entry to a private area without the consent of the owner by doing such unlawful actions is an offence and one could be liable for imprisonment.
