Auki police arrests 20-year-old male for malicious injuries

Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers in Auki have recently arrested a 20-year-old male person for throwing rocks at a teacher’s house at Alotaa community high school in Lilisiana, Malaita province.

Malaita Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Tex Tafoa says, “the suspect was drunk when he went into the school compound and threw rocks at a teacher’s house. He was then taken to Auki police by the victim.”

He was then charged with Malicious Injuries contrary to section 326(1) of the penal code.

PPC Tafoa appeals to chiefs and elders of Lilisiana community to remind their youths that there are legal ways to deal with issues rather than getting themselves in trouble with the law.

He said schools’ infrastructures serve an essential role in our communities and should be respected by everyone.
