Police arrest two adult male suspects for assaulting a 24-year-old male victim in Choiseul Province

Taro police have arrested a 36-year-old and a 43-year-old male suspect for assaulting a 24-year-old male victim recently at Taro in Choiseul Province.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province, Superintendent Berry Pogesopa, says, “The incident occurred at Sunset Lodge at night when the suspects accused the victim of taking phone belongings to one of the suspects.”

PPC Pogesopa says, “The two suspects and the victim were under the influence of liquor when the incident happened. They had an argument, and later two suspects started kicking and hitting the victim.”

Superintendent Pogesopa says, “Witnesses intervene and assist the victim back to his home, and the next day, the victim went to Taro hospital seeking medical assistance.”

“Both the suspects were arrested and bailed to appear before Taro Magistrate Court on a later date,” says PPC Pogesopa.
