27-yr-old male arrested for planting marijuana in Choiseul

Police at Taro Police Station in Choiseul Province have arrested a 27-year-old male who is allegedly involved in the cultivation of marijuana in a village near Taro Station.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Berry Pogesopa said, Upon receiving reports about the suspect and his activity, police carried out an investigation that leads to the arrest. During the arrest, the suspect was in possession of the drug. Police also uprooted his marijuana plants.
The suspect has been charged with two counts; (1) Growing of certain prohibited plants contrary to section 8 (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act and (2) Impossession of Dangerous Drug Contrary to Section 8 (b) of the Dangerous Drug Act.
