Prison escapee burnt down a dwelling house in northeast Guadalcanal
A most wanted prison escapee, who escaped from Tetere Correctional Facility before Christmas last year, 2024, burnt down a dwelling house at Bokokibo on 11 April 2025.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Edwin Sevoa, said the dwelling house burnt down belongs to a Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) member in the Bokokibo area.
PPC Sevoa said his brother, who was also wanted for numerous crimes committed within the Reko area, accompanied the escapee to burn the dwelling house.
Superintendent Sevoa said they also damaged their household properties and cut down some cocoa plants around the victim's area.
“I appeal to the people of Reko in northeast Guadalcanal to surrender the duo to the police. Such people should not stay with us in our communities,” said PPC Sevoa.
Mr Sevoa said if we keep them in our communities, we are expecting some sad incidents to happen to us.
Report where these two most wanted individuals are so that police can deal with them.
