A female suspect arrested for making homebrew in Choiseul province

Taro police have arrested a female suspect for brewing homebrew at a village in south Choiseul recently.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Berry Pogesopa said, “Police responded to the incident and arrested a 46-year-old female suspect on 2 April 2025."

PPC Pogesopa said, “The suspect was dealt with and charged with two counts under the Liquor Act. The female suspect will appear before Taro Court Circuit on a later date.”

“Please, my good people in south Choiseul, try to engage in different economic activities that will not bring any anti-social issues into our communities,” said Mr Pogesopa.

He said not only homebrew; we can engage in generating money to sustain us but find other ways to generate money rather than making homebrew.
