Police kills two crocs in Central Province
The Police Response Department (PRD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police (RSIPF) killed two crocodiles during a seven-day operation at Hagalu and Tokyo Bay in Central Province recently.
Team Leader (TL) Police Constable (PC) David Liva said they have caught two crocodiles about 3 meters in length at Hagalu Bay and a 2.5-meter crocodile at Tokyo Bay.
PRD Director Superintendent Lionel Kapisa said if your community has encountered a crocodile threat, you would have to call in at your nearest police station and fill the crocodile destruction form.”
Superintendent Kapisa said the form has to be signed by a village elder or chief. The service will be delivered when there’s enough funding available.
If there is a crocodile threat in your community, quickly report it to the police. This service is established to keep community members safe from these predators.
