Noro police operation team conducts high-visibility foot beat patrol in preparation for the PIFL retreat this week

Noro police operation team conducted a high-visibility foot beat patrol in Noro township in preparation for the upcoming arrival of the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum (PIFL) high-level delegation for a day retreat in Noro this week.
Operation Commander in Western Province, Supervising Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations Mr. Mathias Lenialu said, “This initiative comes as part of the preparations for the upcoming PIFL retreat, which will take place this week.”

DC Lenialu said, “The officers patrolled the streets of Noro town, engaging with the community to ensure that no illegal activities occurred and that cleanliness was maintained in our communities.”

The Deputy Chief, Mr. Lenialu, said,

“Residents of Noro township have expressed their appreciation for the increased police presence and are willing to work with the police, as the leaders will be having a day retreat in Noro.

He said, "This working together between the community and police has fostered a sense of safety and trust to excel our reputation for development aspiration goals in the future."
