RSIPF Farewell Dr. Danielle Watson after successfully completion of RSIPF Strategic Directions 2026 – 2036

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) has farewelled Dr. Danielle Watson after successful completion of RSIPF Strategic Directions 2026–2036 at Rove police headquarters during a short ceremony on 15 October 2025.

During the farewell ceremony, RSIPF presented a certificate of appreciation and police medal to Dr. Watson in recognition of her engagement as a consultant.

Dr. Watson commenced her engagement with RSIPF early this year, 2025, to assist in reviewing and developing a new strategic plan, as the current RSIPF strategic direction 2021-2025 is nearing the end of its strategic plan period.

With the approval of the commissioner and its executive, Dr. Watson, assisted by the Department of Strategic Planning and Policy, has commenced the new Strategic Directions project.

In late June 2025, Dr. Watson successfully developed and completed the new RSIPF strategic directions 2026-2036, subsequently approved by the RSIPF Commissioner and Senior Executive.

Dr. Watson's professional assistance and contributions to the work include
• Review the current Strategic Directions 2021-2025
• Review police plans and strategic frameworks
• Desktop research on other key stakeholders’ plans (National Security Strategy & Solomon Island Government) National Development and bilateral partners
• Review police reports and reporting framework
• Consultations with senior RSIPF executives, provincial police commanders, directors, and managers, including RSIPF strategic planning and policy department staff.
• Consultation and validation with key government stakeholders and law enforcement agencies

The RSIPF is planning to launch its new RSIPF Strategic Directions 2026-2036 before the end of the year 2025.
