RSIPF participate in the ‘Carols in the Islands’

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) National Community Policing Team and the Media Unit participated in the ‘Carols in the Islands’ festival held at Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara on 9 December 2017.

During the festival, the National Community Policing Team and Media Unit conducted awareness talks on different issues focusing on the Family Protection Act including sexual, physical, emotional and economic abuse.

Members of the audience were given the opportunity to ask and answer questions during the awareness talks with those participating rewarded with RSIPF merchandise including T-shirts and coffee mugs carrying the message of RSIPF – Polis blo iu and RSIPF – Your Police.

Supervising Assistant Commissioner of Police, National Capital and Crime Prevention, Ms Patricia Leta says, “I am happy and commend the members of public for their good behaviour during the ‘Carol in the Islands’. It was a successful operation because of the cooperation by the huge crowd that attended the event.”

“To all individuals who participated in the event, you proved to us that we can participate in any future big events given your respect for law and order,” says ACP Leta.
