The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is urging the good people of the Solomon Islands to stay calm and respect the principles of the democracy after the ministers' resignation this week.

As per the normal processes and procedure of Parliament, should the intention of the minister's resignation be to pursue a Motion of No Confidence, a submission will come before Parliament for deliberation after a clear seven days from the date it was submitted.

The Acting Commissioner of the RSIPF, Mr. Mathias Lenialu, appeals to members of the public to stay calm while the process takes its course and to allow MPs to do their work in accordance with political processes.

Acting Commissioner Lenialu said to ensure public safety and fairness to this process, the RSIPF is closely monitoring the current political situation.

Mr. Lenialu emphasizes the importance of maintaining law and order and urges citizens to continue with business as usual. As the situation unfolds, the RSIPF will continue to provide updates to keep the public informed and reassured.

The RSIPF is encouraging members of the public to refrain from doing anything that may disrupt this democratic process and to refrain from taking advantage of any situation.

It is crucial for our good citizens to remain vigilant and united during such challenging times. The RSIPF is committed to a peaceful environment and ensuring that our leaders exercise their mandates through a democratic process.
