RSIPF Thanks Public for Safe and Responsible Behaviour During Easter Long Weekend
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) extends its sincere appreciation to members of the public for their responsible behaviour and cooperation during the Easter long weekend.
Across Honiara and the provinces, communities demonstrated a high level of respect, patience, and awareness, contributing to a generally peaceful and safe holiday period.
Acting Commissioner of Police said the positive conduct of the public played a significant role in maintaining law and order.
“We commend the public for their cooperation and for making responsible choices throughout the Easter weekend. Your actions have helped ensure the safety and wellbeing of our communities,” the Acting Commissioner said.
RSIPF officers were actively deployed during the period, engaging with communities, monitoring activities, and promoting safety messages, particularly around road use and alcohol consumption.
While the overall situation remained calm, RSIPF continues to remind the public that safety is a shared responsibility.
“We encourage everyone to continue practicing responsible behaviour, especially when it comes to drinking and driving.
Let us carry this positive spirit forward beyond the holiday period,” the Acting Commissioner added.
The RSIPF remains committed to working closely with communities to ensure peace, safety, and security for all citizens.
