RSIPF Calls for Vigilance During Cyclone Season

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is calling on all members of the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during the cyclone season.

Severe weather conditions, including strong winds, heavy rainfall, flooding, and rough seas, can pose serious risks to lives and property.

Boat operators and passengers must check weather updates before heading out to sea, carry proper safety equipment, and avoid traveling during unsafe conditions.

Communities living near coastlines and rivers are strongly advised to monitor water levels closely and be prepared to move to higher ground if needed.

“Do not take risks during bad weather. Your safety and the safety of your family must come first,” RSIPF stated.

In case of emergencies, members of the public are advised to call the RSIPF on this landline, +677 25873, for assistance.
