The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), in partnership with the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT), has successfully conducted a tailored training programme for nearly 100 Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) members at the Bloody Ridge National Park in Central Guadalcanal.

The initiative, designed by the CPLT Tactical Team, aimed to enhance the CPC members' awareness of risk prevention and strengthen their capacity to protect the community from illegal infringements.

Participants, divided into male and female groups, received practical instruction on three-person grappling techniques to restrain troublemakers, as well as essential self-escape skills for responding to threats and assaults.

This training event carried significant weight, following a recent suspected act of arson that damaged trees and restoration work within the Bloody Ridge National Park.

Speaking at the event, the representative of the CPLT emphasised that the training served as a resolute response to criminal acts.

"Fire can burn down trees, but it can never destroy our resolve to rebuild," Wang Yang, the CPLT representative, stated.

Wang Yang said, "Our joint training and donation today are the strongest response to those who wish to disrupt our peace. You, the members of the CPC, are the strongest shields of Bloody Ridge and the vital bridge connecting the police and the public in fighting crime."

To further demonstrate their commitment to boosting community safety efforts, the CPLT donated 30 uniforms and 10 torches to the CPC members.

The RSIPF remains committed to working closely with communities and international partners to build a safer, more resilient Solomon Islands.

The Force encourages all citizens to continue supporting their local crime prevention committees, as effective policing relies on the strong partnership between the police and the public.

The RSIPF is the primary law enforcement agency of the Solomon Islands and is dedicated to maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and ensuring a peaceful environment for all.

The RSIPF continues to urge the public to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or through the police emergency line.
