RSIPF receives support in preparation for a dart tournament in September 2026

Some of the senior RSIPF executive management look through dart equipment after the official handover ceremony.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has received sets of dart equipment in preparation for the dart tournament in Honiara.

The dart equipment was donated by the RSIPF-AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP) in preparation for the tournament that will happen on 29 September 2026.

There are two sets of darts that have been presented to the senior executive of the RSIPF during a handover and signing ceremony at Rove Police Headquarters this morning (30 July 2026).

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operation Mr Mathias Lenialu said one set of darts will be kept for the tournament and the other for the teams to train with.

DC Lenialu has acknowledged the RAPPP for the timely support for such an initiative to engage with RSIPF officers as preparation for the tournament gets closer.

Mr Lenialu said, "So far sixteen teams of the Honiara-based police officers have already been registered for the tournament.

The tournament will coincide with the Police Blue Ribbon Day on September 29, 2026."

He said other provinces will organise their own activities during the Police Blue Ribbon Day, as it is an annual event happening globally.
