RSIPF marks successful completion of Exercise Coastwatchers Training

More than a hundred Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers who have undertaken a coast watchers training run by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) have completed their training on 24 September 2026.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Acting Commissioner of Police James Aitorea said, “Over this period, Exercise Coastwatchers successfully delivered a broad range of training activities that have significantly strengthened capability across our organisation.

A total of 22 training courses were conducted across nine different course categories, resulting in 173 trainees successfully completing the courses and receiving certificates.”

Another significant milestone during this period has been the delivery of several courses for the very first time, such as the Administration Course, the Fitness Leaders' Course, and the First Vehicle Maintainer Operator Course for wider RSIPF personnel.

This is a remarkable achievement and reflects the commitment of both our instructors and participants and the enduring partnership between the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the RSIPF.

The success of these programmes is a direct result of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism shown by everyone involved.
