Lata Police investigate an alleged sexual assault incident occurred in Temotu Province on the 1 January 2018.
It was alleged that a male had sexually assaulted a victim and was arrested by Lata police.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Provincial Joseph Manelugu says, “The Victim is currently under medical treatment at Lata Hospital and her condition is stable.”
“May I appeal to my good people in Temotu province to work together with police during investigation of this incident,” says AC Manelugu.
Mr Manelugu further added: “It is good that both parties involved in this incident to refrain from talking the laws in to your own hands whilst investigation continue.”
