Police at the Henderson Police Station in Guadalcanal Province have checked 40 vehicles and their drivers during a traffic check conducted in the Henderson area on 10 February 2018.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Nixson Manetoga says, “This is a small operation conducted to make sure that drivers are complying with traffic regulations and that both drivers and passengers are safe when traveling to and from Honiara City.”
Supervising PPC Manetoga adds: “I am very pleased with the outcome of the traffic operation as vehicle owners and drivers are complying with the traffic rules as a result no driver was charged or no vehicle was detained.”
“I want to thank the drivers and vehicle owners for their cooperation during the traffic check including my hard working officers. We must bear in mind that the safety on the road begins with us,” says Superintendent Manetoga.
