Police at the Buala Police Station in the Isabel Province successfully reconciled and reunited a mother of six children with her husband after four months of separation during a reconciliation dialogue on 13 April 2018.
Provincial Police Commander Supervising, Inspector Oswald Iru says, “The mother after realizing the negligence of her children, agreed to return to her children and her husband during the reconciliation dialogue.”
PPC Supervising says, “On 12 April 2018 the husband approached the Police here at Buala for assistance after seeing the children need their mum’s care and love.”
Mr Iru says, “Buala police responded and invited the woman and the male for a meeting at the police station. Buala Police team lead by Police Constable Florence Teiraru conducted the reconciliation dialogue that resulted in the successful and peaceful outcome. The woman, her husband and their children are now back together as a family.”
“I wish to thank my officers for their effort in dealing with this family issue. I wish to call to married couples in Isabel Province to uphold the Christian values and principles of married and refrain from bad practices that will damage the family unit,” says Inspector Iru.
PPC Iru adds: “I wish to call on chiefs, communities and church leaders in Isabel to continue to inform and advocate to our people on the importance of adhering to the values of a Christian marriage in order to have happy families and happy communities.”
