PA systems to assist roll out of Crime Prevention Strategy

The roll out of the Royal Solomon Islands Police (RSIPF) Crime Prevention Strategy throughout the provinces will be boosted with the presentation of 10 sets of a public address system (PA) to the provincial police commanders at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara on 1 April 2018.

RSIPF Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations, Gabriel Manelusi handed over the sets of the PA system to the provincial police commanders (PPC’s) during the PPC’s Conference currently underway in Honiara.

“My good officers, take ownership of these police equipment. It will help you with your work especially in the implementation of the Crime Prevention Strategy,” says Deputy Commissioner Manelusi when handing over the equipment to the PPCs.

DC Manelusi adds: “The equipment is not for your personal use but for the work of the RSIPF especially during the meetings that your officers will be holding in the communities to explain the Crime Prevention Strategy to our people and the role of the members of the Ward Crime Prevention Committees,”

The 10 sets of the PA system were funded under the New Zealand Solomon Island Police Support Program (SIPSP) as part of its support to the RSIPF in the implementation of the Crime Prevention Strategy.
