People in three communities in Central Province have appreciated the presence of police during three different activities in the Province recently.
This included the land case hearing at Semege Sub-station near Boroni Village in North Sandfly from 17 to 19 April 2018, the Open Forum at McMahon School on Tulagi Island on 23 April 2018 and the blessing of the Marvel cement grave of the late Anglican Bishop Charles Elliot Fox Koete at Polomuhu Village, North West Big Ngella from 4 – 6 May 2018.
“My officers provided high visibility patrols during the different occasions to ensure the activities went ahead undisturbed and in a peaceful environment. All three activities I am glad to say went ahead as planned,” says Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Central Province Superintendent Patricia Leta.
“For this I congratulate the organisers and of course members of the communities for behaving in an orderly manner showing a mature attitude,” says PPC Leta.
She adds: “The communities really appreciated the presence of the police during the three events urging police to continue the partnership with people in the Province. I thank you all for recognising the work that my officers do in your communities.”
“I must also commend my officers for their tireless efforts when carrying out their duties resulting in the very positive feedback from the people we are mandated to serve,” says Superintendent Leta.
