Thirteen Police officers from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have been promoted to the ranks of senior sergeants and sergeants today (17 May 2018) at the Police headquarters at Rove in Honiara.
These officers include some serving in the provinces. Three female officers are among the promoted officers. They are promoted to the rank of sergeant.
“Today marks another step in your careers as senior sergeants and sergeants in the police force as you take on more responsibilities. Your journey will be tough, trying and challenging but remember we are here to serve our people of Solomon Islands in maintaining peace and security in our nation,” says Supervising commissioner, Gabriel Manelusi when announcing the promotions.
He adds: “I wish to congratulate and encourage you to maintain your level of commitment and dedication and be mentors and role models to other fellow officers.”
Out of the thirteen promoted officers, two of them are promoted to the rank of senior sergeant and the other eleven are promoted to the rank of sergeants.
