Police in Honiara are investigating the death of a male adult in the Mbokonavera area in Central Honiara on 25 June 2018.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City Chief Superintendent Alfred Uiga says, “We received the report in the afternoon of Monday 25 June and my officers attended to the scene sending investigators and forensic officers.
PPC Uiga says, “The deceased was discovered lying in a small room build underneath a leaf house.”
He explains: “Currently my investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of death of the male person. I appeal to anyone who may have any information to assist my officers.”
PPC Uiga adds: “The body has been transported to the National Referral Hospital and arrangements are being made with relatives of the deceased for a post mortem.”
“We extend our condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased following the sudden loss,” says PPC Uiga.
