Police at Buala in Isabel Province have praised the people of Isabel and visitors for their good and peaceful behaviour during the one-week Kodili Festival which ended in the provincial capital today(29 June 2018).
During the week police at Buala conducted an operation during the Festival to ensure the safety of people, guests and visitors was maintained.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Superintendent Leonard Tanhimana says, “I like to praise the youth participants, people of Isabel and people in surrounding communities around the Buala Township for the good and peaceful behaviour during the Kodili Festival 2018.”
PPC Tanhimana says, “As part of the program the Buala Police Community Policing Officer conducted talks on crime prevention strategy and public safety. The officer also emphasised that the Crime Prevention Strategy should be a tool for personal guidance to enhance the prevention of crime and provide a safe environment for our communities.”
PPC Tanhimana adds: “Each day the Buala Police Community Police Officer Sergeant Rodney Hirovaka was given the opportunity on the main stage of the Festival to invite visitors at the Festival to visit the police stall and activities. He also called on them to refrain from crime and be ambassadors of peace, love and togetherness for Isabel Province.”
“I wish to thank the youth participants, people of Isabel, visitors from other provinces, Government officials and stakeholders at the Kodili 2018 Festival in Buala for their good behaviour which provided the peaceful environment during the Festival,” says Superintendent Tanhimana.
