Police at Taro in Choiseul Province have arrested 15 people in relation to the Voruvoru wounding incident in Choiseul Province on 28 July 2018.
Operation Manager Choiseul Province, Senior Sergeant(S/Sgt) Rolland Lapo says, “A total of 15 suspects were arrested in relation to their alleged involvement in the Voruvoru Village incident on 28 July 2018.”
S/Sgt Lapo says, “This incident occurred after a fight broke out between a local person at the Village and an Asian employed at a nearby Paopao logging camp.”
Mr Lapo adds, “Currently investigations are still continuing into the wounding incident and I appeal to both parties involved to assist my officers with information that may help them.”
“I call on both parties involved in the incident to refrain from taking the law into their own hands but allow police to investigate the matter,” says Operation Manager Lapo.
