RSIPF officers receive computer training in Honiara

Fourteen officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) received completion certificates for undergoing a computer training which ended at the Police Academy at Rove in Honiara on 24 August 2018.

Director RSIPF Police Academy, Superintendent Ms Mary Wale Bennett says, “The Computer Training Course is one of the selected programs that are taught to all RSIPF officers to assist their capabilities from documents to tasks they do daily and ways of sending information from one person to another and understanding the usage of each computer program. Programs covered include:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook and
• Intraweb.”

Superintendent Wale Bennett says, “With the Microsoft Office Word program this course will enable participants to communicate words and ideas in a more professional documents.

She adds: that this training is important for all RSIPF officers in gaining knowledge on how the program is used, and each officer is expected to provide professional and satisfying report to their superiors.

“With the skills and knowledge received from this training, each officer is now equipped with the correct techniques on how to utilise the computer programs at their work place,” says Ms Wale Bennett.

The Course started on 13 August with 14 participants from various units and departments within Honiara City.
