Communities in the Katova Ward, Isabel Province will benefit from a two-day Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) training held at Samasodu Village, Isabel province on 20 August to 21 August 2018.
Thirty participants from seven different villages including officers from the Isabel Provincial government attended the workshop coordinated by Sergeant Rodney Hirovaka, the Community Policing officer from Buala Police Station and Deputy Commissioner of Police Gabriel Manelusi.
“Most of our communities have set up our CPC’s but the members of the Committees are yet to be trained on how we can actually deal with types of crimes that are happening in our communities,” says Chief John Konainao.
He adds: “This training will help us understand better how we can assist Police officers do their job and how we can look after our communities.”
“I want to thank RSIPF in providing such training for us and we will continue to work together with Police in Buala as we continue to fight crime in our communities,” says Mr Konainao.
