Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers from the National Operations Portfolio and other portfolios have conducted a route march from the Marine School, Ranadi in East Honiara to Rove Police Headquarters in West Honiara in the early hours of today 31 August 2018.
Police officers from the Maritime Unit, Police Band, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (EOD), Fire and Rescue Service and the Police Response Team (PRT) participated in the march.
“It is good to see our officers on the road this morning. This is part of our training as we continue to train ourselves and work hard to serve our people. And we must always maintain our level of fitness and professionalism,” says Assistant Commissioner National Operations, Mostyn Mangau.
He adds, “As Police officers we are responsible to keep the law and order and maintain security and peace in our communities. This is also an important training as part of our overall readiness preparations for the 2019 National General Elections.”
“I thank all the officers for coming out today. This shows your dedication and commitment as we continue to serve the people in our communities. Let’s keep up our level of fitness and professionalism,” says AC Mangau.
