RSIPF thank SIPDP staff member for his service

The Commissioner of Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) acknowledges the services of Advisor, Miles Humphrey of the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) who left the Solomon Islands yesterday (4 September).

Mr Humphrey worked as an unsworn member of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), and then with SIPDP when RAMSI ended in June 2017.

“Advisor Miles has played an integral part in assisting the RSIPF, providing corporate advice. One of the obvious tasks he assisted with was in the successful transfer of infrastructures from the Guadalcanal Beach Resort (GBR) used by RAMSI to the Rove Police Headquarters,” says Commissioner Varley.”

He adds: “On behalf of the RSIPF ranks and files, I wish to take this opportunity to thank you Miles for your great contribution to the RSIPF. The token of appreciation we giving to you is to remind you of the Solomons. Your legacy will remain in the memories of the RSIPF and wish you safe travel back to Australia.”

RAMSI under the “Helpem Fren” Operation assisted RSIPF for 13 years through capacity training, advisory advice and infrastructure support.

The SIPDP funded by the Government of Australia and coordinated by the Australian Federal Police continues to provide advisory support to RSIPF.
