Police in Honiara City arrested a 32-year man after he allegedly drove a back hoe heavy plant machine into the Coral Sea Casino Hotel in Honiara this afternoon (11 November 2018).
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City, Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “It was alleged that the man had some marital issues with his wife who works at the Coral Sea Casino Hotel.”
PPC Riolo says, “My officers attended to the report this afternoon and seized the back hoe machine which the suspect allegedly used to drive in to the Coral Sea Casino Hotel. My officers invited the suspect shortly after the incident happen at the Coral Sea Casino and formally arrest him at the Central Police Station.”
Chief Superintendent Riolo says, “Currently investigation in to the matter is on going and I appeal to those who were present during the time of the incident to assist my officers with information on what happened.”
