Guadalcanal police provided security at Marau during Seabourn Soujourn passenger cruise ship visit

Police in Guadalcanal Province provided security at Marau during a visit of Seabourn Soujourn passenger cruise ship on 28 November 2018.

Six Officers from Henderson Police Station were deployed to Marau to support police there to provide security for about 400 passengers who came on board the cruise ship Seabourn Soujourn.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Chief Superintendent Evelyn Thugea says,

“I wish to thank members of the public for their good behaviour and respect shown to our international visitors during their visit.

Also I want to thank my officers who have worked tirelessly to provide security to ensure our visitors were safe and experienced a natural and peaceful environment during their short visit.

Seabourn Soujourn arrived at Marau at 6 am on Wednesday 28 November 2018 and left at 6pm on the same day.
