Ms Thugea says, “Your attendance demonstrates concern for the peace and security of the people in our communities. I remind you participants that ‘Peace and Security’ is our shared responsibility and we need to work together to achieve peace in our society. Police cannot be everywhere therefore we need your support in sharing your local knowledge of the community environment to make our communities safe and secured. I urged the community leaders to work close with police to make our community a safe place.”

You have learnt the problem solving model and how it works in creating partnership and operationalizing the Crime Prevention Strategy to support RSIPF to improve policing at the community and village level"

DC Manelusi says, “The Crime Prevention Strategy is a priority for the RSIPF, the strategy if rolled out in all communities it will build strong relationship and partnership with the RSIPF thus building community confidence in the force and reduce the fear of crime. It will provide an effective strategy for dealing with crimes or problems within our respective villages, wards and provinces.”

At the completion of the workshop participants selected the executive members for the Crime Prevention Executive Committee.
