A ring leader surrender to police in Isabel Province for assault incident
A ring leader in relation to an assault case incident occurred recent at Sepi Village, Bugotu in Isabel Province surrendered himself to police after police arrested six suspects for the same incident on 18 December 2018.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Isabel Province, Superintendent Leonard Tahnimana says, “On 16 December 2018 the victim went ask his boss at Sepi Village about his payment for his work he did for sawing timbers. He did asked for his payments because it was already four months but he did not received his payment.”
PPC Tahnimana says, “It is alleged that during the time victim talk with his boss a suspect who just arrive from Honiara under the influence of liquor approached the victim with swearing words. It was further alleged that the suspect kicked and punched the victim. A hard object was also landed on the victim’s right upper arm and dislocated.”
A 32-year-old victim from Roone Village from South Malaita who married to Isabel was transported to Vulavu Clinic where he attended medical treatment.
Mr Tahnimana says, “All suspects were interviewed, charged and bailed to attend Buala Magistrate Court on the 15 April 2019.”
