RSIPF officer Sergeant Robert Satini conducting awareness talk

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) donate sport items to Adaliua Community Youths as part of its Crime Prevention Strategy to encourage youth engagement in sport rather than criminal activities yesterday 19 December 2018.

An officer before presenting the sport items to the youths conducted an awareness talk about the risks of involving in crime during the festive season and encouraged youths to involve in sport, community work, and Church activities.

Police Sergeant Mr Robert Satini during presentation says, “I would like to thank the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) for their support to sponsor the sport items that have been presented to the Adaliua Community Youth.”

He adds: “The sport items presented are a volley net, two volley balls, one soccer ball and one air pressure pump. I urge you to look after well the sport item.”

The sport items were sponsored by SIPDP through Australian Federal Police (AFP) to assist the RSIPF drive and support youths to engage in sport.

Mr Lawrence Fosu, Adaliua community youth leader says, “I would like to thank Naha Police and more especially to SIPDP to sponsor these sport items. Young people of Adaliua community will continue to work together with police during this festive season to ensure our youths do not involve in any alleged criminal activities.”
