Six people arrested and charged during Christmas day in Western Province
Police at Gizo in Western Province arrested and charged six suspects for different offences committed during the Christmas day on 25 December 2018.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province, Chief Superintendent, Mathias Lenialu says, “These people were arrested, charged and placed in police custody.”
PPC Lenialu says,
“Three people were charged for consumption of liquor in public place, the other two were charged for affray and the other person were charged for assault causing actual bodily harm.”
Mr Lenialu says, “All of them were released on bail to attend Gizo Magistrate Court on 14 January 2019."
PPC Lenialu says, “I urge the general public and good people of Western Province to enjoy responsibly in a peaceful way. Police will be vigilant in its operation conducted and will take stein action to anyone who commits any crime.”
